The passion of collecting has accompanied man for centuries, consuming huge resources of space, time and often also money. Formerly reserved only for fine arts and handicrafts, nowadays collecting has eluded all restrictions and classifications. What makes things attract us? What are we most eager to collect? What traps are waiting for the novice collectors? what is the best way to start building your own collection? These and other questions will fall during the conversation with the collector and designer Damian Dudek, the author of the project Design of PRL, launched in 2011, aimed at popularizing Polish graphic design and design from 1945-89. Based on the history of specific objects from his collection, Damian Dudek will also familiarize the efforts of Polish designers with interesting, legible and attractive packaging in the difficult times of the PRL.
