Errors can sometimes be a starting point for the making of objects which will surprise the artists themselves!
When designing objects made out of porcelain, the production process is made up of many stages, and it takes a relatively long time between conception and delivery. In the case of errors, which we tend to spot at the end of this process, we then have to start all over again. This tricky state of affairs can encourage those starting out working with porcelain to take a more safe and predictable route. During their workshops, Agata and Tosia from Fenek Studio want to create a space where the possibilities inherent in working with this medium are freely explored.
The project aims to encourage participants to be more forgiving of one's own creative output, to follow one's intuition and surrender to fantasies without fear of making mistakes.
The aim of the workshop is to introduce the participants to techniques of working with porcelain and creating a collection of usable works of art based on modified castings from plaster forms prepared earlier.
