Innovative social projects show work results of the individual innovators and project teams.

Unsatisfied needs, insecurity, lack of sense among users of the public space are the consequences of errors recognized by the authors of “Innovations in Human Respect.” Innovators had interpreted the transgressions as signals to act and approach identified social challenges as design challenges, within which they analyzed sources of problems, developed prototypes and tested their social innovation projects. Having taken up fresh and participatory actions in search of effective and out-of-the-box solutions, the creators found innovative responses to functional limitations of accessibility of public space, deficiency of educational, motivational and memory-improving tools, social exclusion and lack of acceptance and tolerance.

“Innovations in Human Respect” represent selected projects that involved Social Innovation Laboratory in Gdynia. Those are examples of search and support of solutions developed by local communities, individuals and organizations and dedicated to dependent people on account of age, illness or disabilities. One can also observe the results of multi-sectoral cooperation that through using audiovisual technologies have led to development of multimedia tool dedicated to older people that also supports prevention of cultural and digital exclusion.
