Emilia Kohut
EA graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Laureate of Amberif Design Award 2012. Participant of many national and international exhibitions. Currently, her works are in galleries all over the world - United States, China, Germany, Czech Republic, Latvia and Italy. In 2017,she received the Medal of the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk. She based herworks on research and experimentation in the field of materials science and as a result she receives small industrial forms. Treating jewelry as an anatomical object which is an extension of the human body resulted in projects that are both pleasing to sight and touch. Permanently associated with the Tricity, where she leads the brand under her own name since 2012.
Craftsman: Saddlery A&W Sitko, Gdańsk
This is a family workshop of saddlery and leathercraft, which has been run in the same place, in 9 Lawendowa Street in Gdańsk, since 1957. Mrs and Mr Sitko, despite their old age, still work in the profession. In addition to the production of high-quality leather goods and the provision of standard services, they also make atypical orders, such as: parts of equipment for reconstruction groups. In the workshop, the knowledge and experience is used by the master of saddlery and leathercraft, Mr Zbigniew Jacykowski, who has been working there for years.
